You should do what you love and what your family loves,” she says. The holidays are truly about family and friends, and being with those you love, “so I do something I know that my family loves and what I love. I would encourage everyone to decorate according to what makes them feel most at home for the holidays.” TOP, RIGHT • Festive Florals. For Leslie, poinsettias aren’t the only Christmas owers. Blending the holidays with other seasons, she incorporates red and white roses, red gerbera daisies and a splash of white hydrangeas for a romantic touch to the yuletide season. OPPOSITE • A Home to Share. Leslie has written a new book, A Home to Share: Design that Welcomes Family and Friends.With it, she hopes to show others how to use every space, including unused spaces, for family and friends. “How can we rethink rooms for our family to make them even better suited for our family members?” she asks.“My goal with the book is to share, not to show.
