For the Love of Christmas. Hands down, Christmas is Caroline’s favorite holiday. “If I could, I would celebrate it all year around.” As it is, she settles for getting an early start to the process of turning her home into a holiday haven, beginning in October. “It does take me quite a while to decorate, and I try to be done before Thanksgiving, so I can enjoy the décor for the whole month of December.” HOLIDAYdécor | 2022 49 TOP LEFT • Mirror Image. “This wall needed art or a mirror,”Caroline says. She chose a mirror because the re ection gives the room more depth and gives a clear sightline all the way into the kitchen. It’s a great way to easily add interest to an area, while also making a room appear bigger. TOP RIGHT • Process of Success. It’s a time to lose herself in the process of beautifying her home and is one she looks forward to every year. RIGHT • Clear as a Bell. These bells are from Weathered Wood Home in Kansas.“My friend just opened up her shop and when I went to visit, I fell in love with these bells. I even added them to the wreaths on my front doors,” Caroline says. The hand stitched pillow in this image is also from a small shop called Nest of Petals.
